I'm at home in the wild and continually open to expanding my consciousness to encompass my environment and vice versa. However, only once have I experienced the feeling that everything around me was me and that "I" in fact did not exist.
I was on the kayak at the time and it was the most profound experience to date.
I meditate daily - whilst walking, whilst washing up, whilst hand washing my clothes and whilst sitting. Nothing brings me more happiness than a quiet mind.
With a quiet mind, I experience authenticity.
I like photography because it attempts to capture a part of a moment and communicate that. It can never capture the moment... real moments alive and flexible. Real moments usually include multi-sensory information such as sound and smell as well as visual stuff.
I used to have a camera at the ready at all times but I noticed that in doing so I was missing being in the moment... with a fervour to capture the moment. That was when I was on social media... Now I'm not trapped in that spiral of ignorance and I find my days are fuller and more content.
I reach for my camera when I have reason to... not because 'friends' or people unknown to me might want to see something...
I use a Canon DSLR and a DJI drone to capture the professional images clients love. I also use Lightroom and Photoshop for editing and tweaking.
